  • Well @rowlandscastle444 it took a bit of time, but I was really tired so managed by 2am, I think, to sleep. Hope the journey home goes OK.

    Thank you, @purplerallim
We had a good journey home. Now back, to cope with the neighbours. More stress over the house move is not helping me to relax. It may never happen. If it doesn't, this will have been our third attempt in recent years. This is also the third house on this attempt, that we've put an offer on.
My wife is understandably frustrated. I'm so pleased my parents were successful in their move. But, I wish we could too. I NEED a bungalow!! Not helping my sleep process.
  • Fingers crossed @rowlandscastle444 🤞

Im awake ‘cos I’ve had a jab in each arm and I’m a ‘side sleeper’. I had my flu jab in my left arm on Wednesday and my COVID jab in my right arm yesterday. I’m tossing and turning a bit … OH has abandoned ship and is in the spare room.

I looked out of the landing window a little while ago and watched a large hedgehog trundling around on neighbours lawn  in the light of a street lamp. 🦔

I am awake because I ate too much. My son's wedding was fabulous, why did I fret so much?
Went to bed at one, slept 2 hours, maybe I will sleep a little more. OH snoring away.
It feels unreal, this room, the people I met. Was it really me dancing and laughing?
Well, now it's really me not sleeping.

  • How fabulous @coccinella … hope to hear more about it when you’re recovered. Sleep tight 😴

Sorry to hear that the jabs are not allowing you to sleep, @Dovefromabove
Hope you DID get rest after all.
  • Oh yes I soon got back to sleep thanks @rowlandscastle444 … think I’d turned into my right side ‘too hard’ and sort of knocked it … I was soon back in the Land of Nod thank goodness.  😊

  • Glad to hear you are back home @rowlandscastle444 , but sorry that you are having such a problem moving. We moved 8 years ago from a house to a bungalow,  best thing we ever did, but it took 18months and four attempts to get to this one.
As for sleeping a broken night, but not surprising,  as I had a sudden problem with my right eye. Emergency appointment at opticians,  and it seems I have a detached eye lining which caused a little bleeding and large "floaters". Now off to hospital tomorrow ,Sunday, for them to check me out. It never rains but it pours! 🙄

Sorry to hear about the need for a hospital appointment, @purplerallim
My experiences with our local eye hospital on a Sunday, have been favourable, but the ones with A&E, have not. But each area is different.
  • I too would be worried about going to A&E @rowlandscastle444 ours is a standard 8 hour wait for anything. But I am being sent to Boston not Lincoln for this, and it's a timed appointment eye clinic,  but also a walk in? So could be a while.
