Morning. Woke at 4am to sound of foxes screeching outside. Have had a chat with OH who  is also awake, and planned our day. Nice to be back in our own bed after trip to visit daughter. It’s very quiet here ( now that the foxes have shut up ) other peoples houses have different night sounds, unfamiliar heating systems gurgling, and more traffic noise. I shall try and get back to sleep. Hope you all are too.

Morning. Woke up at 1 and 3 but managed to sleep again. It is now 6.33 and the night is over. It has rained again all night. I have a quiet house, except in windy nights.
Have a nice day and may 8t start late 😊

  • Slept until 6, a great improvement.   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Didn't settle till 1am last night, and awake at 7.30am. Quite surprising as I expected a broken night, and expect it again tonight, as I must admit to being a little worried as tomorrow I am going to hospital for a radioactive capsule and x-rays to check on my gut mobility ( another test the consultant asked for) and will have to isolate for a week before x-rays again.😮☢️

I had one of those to zap my thyroid. It got me out of going to a christening.
    In London. Keen but lazy.
  • That is what is confusing me @B3 as MIL had it done too for her thyroid,  but I suppose it must be a smaller dose as my thyroid is fine, so doesn't need attacking. 🙁

I believe there are various types of stuff injected in order to scan the body . I had the full whack after thyroidectomy (with isolation of 5 days and misery for many more) but also had a lower one called Iodine 131 under Thyrogen for a whole body scintigraphy.

If they told that you must isolate between scans then it must be mildly radioactive. Avoid children but ask for more info about it.

    Hugs

  • Yes children and those with suppressed immune systems,  so can't go to Darlington this weekend. Plan to ask more as NHS web site says more restrictions which have not been mentioned,  as hubby is type 2 diabetic.
  • When we visited my daughter after she had her thyroid out, she sat in bed and we were outside with a lead screen between us.
