Like children - it always comes on worse at night - usually Friday or Saturday.  But this is good news @pansyface

    7000x22 metres apparently.
That's over 95 miles. It's 76 miles from London to Dover

And how many of them will turn off their engines as they queue?
Many modern engines turn themselves off when they’re stationary for a certain length of time ... traffic lights, railway level crossings etc ... 👍

So how will refrigerated lorries manage?🤔
Ask Boris, Gove and their mate Nigel ... it was all their idea ... someone I know voted Leave to bring about ‘the end of EU red tape and less regulation for the HGV Industry’. Yes honestly, that’s what they told her lorry driving husband would happen 🤣 🤣 🤣
While rich landowners I know have been busily getting planning permission to construct lorry parks on land alongside main roads to Dover and the big ferry ports 😇

  • Presumably if “they” are providing lorry parks they’ll be increasing the existing lairage facilities at the ports ... but they’ll have to be paid for ... costs and therefore prices will go up ...

Just found this thread, I'm sure I'll make use it in the future.  I have just changed my computer to night time, didn't know it had such a setting until I read it on here.  I usually read when I can't sleep, but sometimes it doesn't work.  Sleep well everyone.
