I've just been outside to cool down. Found millions of slugs all over the lawn. Why are they there and not on the lovely surrounding plants?

  • Probably after the moisture @Songbird-2 🙂
Am going to try now to get some sleep, as its still 20° we shall see.
  • Just after 2am. And I thought it was much later.
    Sigh.

I had the blinds open to let the cooler night air in … then neighbour on the corner switched on the light by their back door which could be used to guide a landing plane in thick fog … they’ve turned it off now … but im

Nice and cool here so I'm fast asleep 😴
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Our NDN has very bright lights out the back. They go on every time the dog goes down the garden.
Then also every time something moves in the garden, such as a bird, a bug, or a blade of grass. My wife uses eye patches just to avoid being disturbed.

  • It was a night of two halves, first half no sleep till 3am, then slept in till 9am 🙄 it makes such a mess of your day doing this!
  • Stayed up to watch the last night of the proms.
Now trying to settle, despite both parents returning home early from holiday, affected by the heat!!
More to worry about. Definitely NOT their fault. They've spent an age worrying about me. Now it's my turn.
