    Well, I've just taken the sheets off the bed and put them in the machine so if I want to go back to bed it means remaking the bed up but first have to hoover the mattress before I do that. That'll larn me to wake up at this unearthly hour. Lovely smell outside though.

    If I don't get back to sleep soon, I'm going to get up and make some cheese scones.

    Finished cuppa. Will go back to bed and try to sleep before it's time to get up again.

    Been awake since 3am!!  Couldn't drift back to sleep despite a 45minute listening to a meditation session.  Then the birds and some owl in the distance.  Someone driving a tractor spraying his vineyards .....  Got up at 6am.  24.7°C outside - no air, cloudy and oppressive!  A walk with the dog in the "cool" - ha!   

    I'll have a little sconnie @B3 if you please!!!

    It arrived about 5 minutes ago - rapid service!   Very good scone, lots of butter!!

    Did go back to bed at 3.30, but didn't get to sleep till after 5. Up at 9 so did get a bit. Scones sound good, but I think it's jelly day today as its already 26°

    Jelly sounds good too. I think there's a tin of mandarins at the back of the cupboard.
