I'm making a cup of tea and considering an episode of Downton Abbey @Mrs-B3-Southampton,-Hants.
I do enjoy an episode of Homes under the Hammer, if only to see how scruffy Martin what's his name is.

Yes I'm awake. Quite normal for me though. I used to threaten myself with a trip to the 24 hour Tesco 20 odd miles away if I didn't go back to sleep but it isn't open 24 hours anymore. I then changed tack to threatening myself doing the ironing but ignore myself now. Huh!
SW SCOTLAND but born in Derbyshire

@purplerallim So sorry to read about all your tribulations.

I'm awake, but not in your time zone, so it's not late here yet.

Yes it gets better @fire as now I have covid , so for the last three days I'm doing nothing but sleep

Sorry to hear that @purplerallim. Sleep is the best thing, in this heat you're better off indoors anyway.
    I hope you recover soon.

I decided against Downton in the end. Eventually dozed off about quarter past three, then slept off and on until quarter past eight.

    Thank @AnniD
I don't know if that kind of cat napping is better or worse than not sleeping.

    Poor @purplerallim
Hope you make a swift recovery. Re the waking in the night, I find one of the worst bits is worrying about trying to function the next day. Makes trying to get to sleep even more difficult. At least now I’m retired,  I find the fact that I can have a nap during the day takes a lot of the mental pressure off. Take any sleep you can get whenever you can, better than nothing.

Very true @Ergates. I'm very thankful that the alarm doesn't go off at 6.45am any more.
