I'm making a cup of tea and considering an episode of Downton Abbey @Mrs-B3-Southampton,-Hants. I do enjoy an episode of Homes under the Hammer, if only to see how scruffy Martin what's his name is.
Yes I'm awake. Quite normal for me though. I used to threaten myself with a trip to the 24 hour Tesco 20 odd miles away if I didn't go back to sleep but it isn't open 24 hours anymore. I then changed tack to threatening myself doing the ironing but ignore myself now. Huh!
Poor @purplerallim Hope you make a swift recovery. Re the waking in the night, I find one of the worst bits is worrying about trying to function the next day. Makes trying to get to sleep even more difficult. At least now I’m retired, I find the fact that I can have a nap during the day takes a lot of the mental pressure off. Take any sleep you can get whenever you can, better than nothing.

I hope you recover soon.
I decided against Downton in the end. Eventually dozed off about quarter past three, then slept off and on until quarter past eight.
I don't know if that kind of cat napping is better or worse than not sleeping.
