I used to be the same Ergates. Some weeks though I'm stupid enough to arrange activities most days that entail getting up early. I'm old enough to know better.
I can only nap before 3pm, after that it interferes with my getting to sleep later. This covid sleeping is weird, I'm getting very vivid bizarre dreams of everything I've seen that day all mixed up 😷🤧😵💫😳
I used to find it so worrying - to have to get up for work at 7am and be wide awake at 3am fighting to get to sleep.
So true. Now I make sure I have a good book on my iPad, so I can read for a while without waking OH. If we are both awake, we might make ourselves a cuppa and maybe watch something on the tv. Then have a guilt free nap after lunch. We have found that we can now nap at any time of the afternoon, including as late as 5pm, get up for a while to have a snack tea, and still be looking forward to bedtime.
Went to bed at 10pm tired, read for an hour, but sleep didn't come. Tried to settle but no luck, so am now up, tired, wishing I was asleep, because I have hubby to look after tomorrow as he is now positive for covid and will be needing looking after, even though I'm still not better yet.🙄🥱🥱🥱🤧🤒
No he's just in that period of high temps and listless, but being a type 2 diabetic you need to keep an eye on them. He's not very good at just going with it, and will push himself if I'm not there to stop him.

Hope you manage to get some sleep @purplerallim.
