No @B3 it's got to be strawberries,  melon or pineapple 😋 or maybe all three? 😜

Who would be asleep after hearing that thunder! At least the garden is getting the best soaking it's had in a long time!

Well, awake about 1.30am and didn't go back to sleep. Torrential rain here too when a storm started about an hour ago. Huge rain drops bouncing back up off the road. Settled down to nice steady stuff now.

The only sound of water I was woken by was my paddling pool draining slowly into my flower bed as it had melted in the heat! 🥵

Woke to the first sign of cloud this morning, but it looks like it's burning off. We are not due any rain till after 4pm, and maybe not even then. I would LOVE a good thunderstorm,  but it's too late for most things in the garden. The heat, even though they did get some water, has done them in.

We had thunderstorms from about midnight to 4amon Sunday morning.   They weren't close by - more north west of us - but I wason tenterhooks, waiting for rain to start.   We got a dribble and then a moquito started buzzing.  Not a lot of sleep.

Temps about 23C yesterday so just over half what we've had for the last 10 days.  We did get some rain finally at about 9pm yesterday but only a MM or two.   Slept well tho.

Hope you get some rain soon @AnniD.  Experience her would indicate that plants can cope with heat if they have adequate water.

We are on restricted watering  @Obelixx so I took the last dribble out of the butts to do the roses this morning. Now we need rain to fill them.
