  • How long has this been going on? If more than a few weeks may I suggest you ask your GP  for a second opinion. I know with the NHS situation as it is puts us off getting involved with our Drs. but your symptoms do not sound right.
It took some time for sharp pains in my stomach to subside post op. I began to think something had been left inside me but eventually it stopped. Have had no other symptoms for several years, which is as it should be.

It is now 15 months post op. I have been referred to a Gastroenterologist but, still have 11months to wait for an appointment!

Sorry to hear your health problems, @Joyce Goldenlily and @purplerallim .  It must be so frustrating not to be able to garden...

Managed to dash out between showers today to dead-head the roses and prune the damson tree, which was a birthday present in March from my daughter.  It had put on a huge amount of growth - I pruned off a couple of feet!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Managed to do a little bit late afternoon - or at least my daughter did! I asked her to climb on top of the 3ft high raised bed with the long handled pruner and cut off the NDN's native cotoneaster branches which are growing thro our fence. Their ground is higher than ours so it's quite a difficult job and I suppose the total height of wall plus fence which both belong to us is about 10ft.
I then dug up and potted a small guara plant for her as a thankyou, we watered the new rose in its pot and called it a day.
Thankfully, I'm feeling much better today, taken off the morphine patch and only had one co-codamol so far.

  • I was desperate to get my hands into soil so went out and Chelsea chopped the lavender. I hated doing it as there was a secondary flush of flowers and there were lots of bees busy on it but I gritted my teeth and went for it. Very calming, lungs full of the scent of lavender.
Had a tomato sandwich for lunch using the first of the Cocktail Crush tomatoes, a good replacement for Gardeners Delight.
Despite not liking the lumpy bumpy shape of the Ozark tomatoes I am more than happy with the flavour, made a pot of veg. soup using my first ripe one, plus a selection of other veg. Then I was bushed.

I was supposed to be doing a clean up of the garden today, I had it all planned out in my head yesterday. However it seems to be raining on and off all day so I don’t want to venture outside
  • No gardening. It kept tipping down with very heavy showers.
The veg. soup I made had a devastating effect on my digestive system so spent the afternoon on the sofa watching the women's football match. Well done girls.
