I spent the morning replanting my narrow border at the foot of the new fence. Spaced the plants out a bit more and decided on a green, white and yellow scheme (it's in partial shade). I'm keeping the white clematis I had to dig up in a black plastic tub for the time being in case it doesn't survive. I've got lime green heucheras, lime sedum, snowdrops, white cyclamen and narcissus, curly grasses, alchemilla mollis and native primroses.

Been to allotment this morning dug over the area early broad beans came out of and prepared ready for the leeks.
Sown a few more lettuce, spring onions, carrots and beetroot, watered in tunnel tied in toms and cucumbers, harvested five cucumbers, lettuce, spring onions, small beetroots and carrots.

    Oh dear. Oops.
Or is it predictive text misbehaving?

Spread some compost and leaf mould on beds and left mounds where new plants will be going in, so when I get around to it over the next day or so all I will have to do is dig it in to enrich the planting holes.
Plum Royale Heucherella to go in with Athyrium (Japanese painted fern).
Fixed a couple of holes in "lawns" left by tree surgeon works.

Planted out some of the cosmos and the rest of the snapdragons.
    Dead headed the aliums.
Started sowing the wallflowers into the toilet rolls. I'll thin them out to one per roll, that way they won't have a shock when transplanting, I've lost a lot when I used to transplant them.

Put some spent compost on the border that's closest to the big trees in the hope it will keep a little more moisture in the soil - gets very dry. Picked some strawberries and gooseberries. Noticed blackcurrants and blueberries look nearly ready as well. Deadheaded the roses. OH mowed the lawn and dug up some potatoes for dinner to go with sea bass tonight.
