    You must be joking!
North East Somerset - Clay soil over limestone
  • I managed to plant a Magny Cours lily that was already potted into the border.  I wonder if it will take and will it attract the dreaded red lily beetle?  I finished planting my Belfast sink yesterday and hope that it flourishes - I added plenty of gravel and grit to the mixture.  Oh continued wheeling barrow loads of saved top soil onto the lawn that needed reseeding.

Yes, busy preparing the ground for onion sets and organising new raised beds.  Quite warm out here in Slovakia although a bit windy

Sorry @Hampshire_Hog - didn't mean you at all, referring to the thread title!

Not a chance of doing anything here blowing a gale and pouring rain all day. Now rain stopped but still very windy and only 6°

I've clipped the lavender hedge, cut down the ricartonii fuchsias, clipped a few other shrubs, cut down the catmint, done a small amount of weeding, cleared up a lot, but not all, swept a paved path and it's taken most of the afternoon. I seem to be getting slower.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
