No it's in the "at risk" group of plants likely to disappear as it's out of favour and not stocked anymore @GWRS 🙂

Started work on an area of the garden where conifers have been removed.  Spread bags of farmyard manure and FBB and planted Prunus Halle Jolivette.  Went to garden centre and bought Mahonia Charity and Kolkwitzia amabilis 'Pink Cloud' .
Also spread some new aggregate around the pond.

Planted red, orange and yellow day lilies, a euphorbia, a nepeta sibirica and a pennisetum, none of which I've grown before so that will be exciting.  Then planted some lavenders I grew from cuttings, along the edge of the border.

Sat in the garden all day...but on an online conference 09:30 until 15:00!

Managed to stick in some late flowering daffodils and tulips that should bring some red and white to the main garden.

Quickly unpotted and planted the ranunculus reds and whites into the wall bed before it got dark

Potted up more hollyhocks, put some kniphoia (that's definitely spelt wrong) into the propagator for a boost of bottom heat. Cut the lawn. We're on self isolation so I'm thinking my garden is getting lots of extra care

Potted up my lavender seedlings and all six of the lupines that I bought a couple of weeks ago. Fed all 12 of my roses with seaweed extract. Not bad for an hour and a half’s work I thought.. given my line of work I still have to work till 5pm every day so finding time after work to do some gardening is difficult..
  • Today we did the usual round of deadheading Spring bulbs.  Just a few daffodil and narcissus left in flower now, as well as half the tulips.  Some tulips flowered in late Feb/early March and some are in full flower now. We also potted up our front gate urns, which was definitely a two person job.

We gets lots of foxgloves self seed at the Allotment, normally I just put them in the compost bin but this time I have tried potting them on , so far I have 14 , it will be interesting to see how they do
Anybody else out there done anything similar ?

We started off with 1 foxglove 3 years ago and transplanted a dozen plants the next year. Last year I just cut the flower stems off and shook the seed around the garden (copied monty) and we have loads now, in fact I'm having to thin them and feed the waste into the compost
