  • Think the original thread name stems from the Two Ronnies’ joke about a specific number of candles 🕯 🕯 🕯 🕯  so possession of specific gardening equipment is totally irrelevant 😉

Cheers folks. I'm hoping the appt. will be positive, but you know how it is...
I think you can persuade hubby by threatening his piles [ooh err matron] with a bonfire, Liri.  :D
When we had the new boiler put in, during a very chilly January, we at least had an electric shower which helps. I bought a couple of small fires for the girls' rooms, and I had a small oil filled radiator so we managed. Not funny when you're stuck with a situation like yours though.  :(
Hope to get out in a couple of months or so. Need to get my hill legs sorted first, which is why I'm doing all the decorating just now. That leaves the [hopefully] better weather to get outdoors in the garden and the hills.  :)

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

That's interesting, Dove - I had always assumed it was referring to the nearby curse word, so that's me told  So very proper

Hey everyone. Just back from my teaching session so catching up on goss whilst having peanut butter on toast. (Will need to wipe my screen after!).
I had a Christmas card with just four candles on it... I think it was on purpose??
I hope you can come out of your flare of M.E. very soon @islander. Sending you positive vibes.

One of the RHS cards was this one.   Love it.

Ha ha - that must have been popular - I received that one too!

Housework is going... well, it's just going. Motivating a teenager to chip in is exhausting.
