I'm having problems with Internet. Repair man coming on Wednesday. The log man wanted to cut down a tree so he removed a junction box on a pole and took the phone wire down. He wrapped the box in a plastic bag but with the wind, rain and passing deer water has got in. At least I think that is the problem. I was furious with him, I'd told him not to touch it before we went to Norfolk.
Seems I'm not the only one! Where is every one?
I hope Mr Wonky had a good day.
Re: Fairygirl's tip about stale bread and bread crumbs - thank you, but it's not so easy with bread around here, all crust and holes!

Morning all. Another whole night in bed. What a difference it makes. Hurrah for good results Steephill. Dreich and drizzle here so I think I'll be heading into the polytunnels today.
Morning all/afties Pat if you're around - maybe on the way home Couple of degrees of frost here too LP , and looks very pretty - and a lovely sky which has disappeared unfortunately. There are quite a few green shoots on the dianthus, chicky - I can always split it and pot it up for replanting later. It does look a bit sad though! The other one's worse Glad you're mobile again BL - at least the bread with all the holes is better for the waistline.... Perhaps I should buy that Do you get a refund or compensation for the man's carelessness? Ludicrous behaviour. Glad you had a good sleep Hosta. The nice dry frousty start is to become very rainy later here too, so more painting for me. Daughter drove to the DIY store, parked, then drove to the next shop for some bits and bobs, then drove home. She's a bit more confident than she was. She's driven more with me than she has in her lessons. Think that's quite important when you look at the amount of traffic - and twuts - on the roads nowadays. I've told her I'll take her up the Loch Lomond road soon. That'll put her gas at a peep
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I hate driving up the Loch Lomond road, but the thought that I am getting nearer the places I want to go, keeps me going, that and the thought of a quick stop at the Clachaig inn in Glencoe.
My turn for a hospital visit today, but Moira has decided to come too, strange girl.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
To paraphrase - fog in valley, Surrey isolated. Very murky round here this morning and our view is solid grey. A bit sunnier indoors though, thanks for all the good wishes
Tree surgeons now booked for major tree works at the end of this month. That should make a bit of a change in light levels in that half of the garden. I suspect that I will be buying a few extra bulbs this year
The Loch Lomond road was my training ground when learning to drive, Fairy. We used to do family outings to all the hotspots of sunny Argyllshire, usually at the end of single track forest roads. My mother later told me that my dad made me drive on those trips because he was scared of those roads!
When my dad bought me my first car, ( a 1956 Austin Somerset) he put the L plates and made me drive up the Mile End Road and through the Blackwall tunnel, he said always best to dive in at the deep end. Afterwards he said if I could do that I could drive anywhere. that was before the other tunnel was build so it was two way. I’ve never been scared of driving anywhere since.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

Got the car moving yesterday, so normal service resumed today.
