    Morning all, afternoon Pat,
Looks like we have got off lightly, it's not even reached freezing today, not like the past few days!
Not washing drying weather tho so I'm draping laundry all over the house!
Managed birth the supermarket ships yesterday so just bird supplies and housework today before a small get together for hubby's significant birthday party tonight.
Hope everyone is keeping warm! Stay safe out the folks!

I just like being snowed in at the pub :)
My local [ not local at all, about 4 miles away on top of the moor ] regularly used to get severe snow, and somehow over the years, I managed to overcome insurmountable odds, to get there, and then get snowed in. Seems like a different lifetime.

A bit dark for photos this morning but here is what I woke up to.

    Spooked roe doe.

    Woodie at breakfast.

It's not by chance that Daphne Du Maurier set her book there - it's so bleak and benighted. If I was planning for a 'lock in' I wouldn't go there. And it's not a short walk from Temple in the dark in snow, either. But any port in a storm...

14cm of snow at Dunkeswell and we're the next hill along and rather higher, so probably a bit more than that here. Hard to tell with the wind blowing so hard, it's all a bit 'soft peaks' out there. The only one to have ventured out so far from this house is the dog with 4 paw drive. Those of us with fewer feet are staying in.
