That is a stupendous rose Runners. I agree about the fruit salads - used to sell them at break in the school tuck shop.

    A few from Sunday 1st:

Some white cyclamen, just moved from a pot to a new home by the pond. Lots more there today  :)

    Jap. Anem. 'Whirlwind'

Sweet peas  - Cathy, Castle of Mey and Wild Swan

Recovered dianthus 'Coconut Sundae' after that B****** of a cat annihilated the whole thing, and new arrival 'Pink Kisses'

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • I must admit I am not a blue person, but the bees & butterflies seem to prefer blue and purple flowers too - liking Lavender, the purple Buddlea more than the white or orange, Ceanothus etc - lovely pictures Papi Jo

I know what you mean about the white buddleia @Guernsey Donkey2. Mine was totally ignored too. I wonder if it's something to do with the parts of the spectrum visible to the pollinators  or maybe the white ones produce less pollen or nectar.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

I've had white buddleias and they were always covered with bees, hoverflies and butterflies  :)

Is that a bred variety of C. heracleifolia, @Papi Jo ? I've never seen it flowering so densely.

Well another theory bites the dust @Fairygirl ! Nothing that i could see went near my elderberry either, but it's covered in berries so something must have visited.
Constant visits by wood pigeons at the moment.😐
