I managed to get my thumb in the way but Salvia verticillata 'Purple Rain' is looking good right now. Has grown massively from 9cm pots planted this spring. Unfortunately it is swamping some Veronicastrums behind, but it's my fault - I gave them too severe a Chelsea-chop and then they struggled to keep pace with the Salvia.

I like the contrasting shape and texture of Will's thumb The veronicas will come good I think, Will I love the pitter patter's poppies. [Easy for me to say ] and I like them at that stage far more than when they open. I had some similar foxgloves but they've gradually succumbed to crossing with the wild ones, which is a shame.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

You certainly had a brighter day than I did, @edhelka. Your garden looks great. Are the yellow flowers on the left Aquilegia?
Can’t seem to load any panoramas of my borders, so here are some flowery bits instead
Bit fuzzy after my attempts at resizing ......but you get the general gist .......
