Thank you for the lovely comments. @chicky, I first saw that Lilly on Beechwood Gardens a couple of years ago and managed to buy some last autumn, want some more, but it is sold out everywhere.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Is it the same as Forever Susan, doc? Nyssen's do it, so you could probably pre order. A house round the corner from me has a large pot of them by the front door. They look stunning just now.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Whoop, how exciting! You are a bit ahead of me Hazyb...I planted a lot of my crocosmia together last year, a few different colours, so will get to see what that looks like soon🙂 Be difficult to sort out if I don't like it😁
This is the Stolen Strip, a border I made to stop the council mowers bashing my railings. They bash the plants but they are all weeds, self-seeds and spares and they don't seem to mind.
My side of the stolen strip, it looks weedier than the other side...will thin out the stachys once flowered (bees love it).
This is Coton Corner, starring my smartest hosta, June:
Victoria Sponge Beautiful garden! Curious if you look at the base of your Crocosmia-is there is a different colouration there in the stalk? The one circled in orange is Prince of Orange. To the left of it is Lucifer, and all others are yet to bloom, but based on the similarity in stalk colour, I predict they will also be Lucifer. So worst case scenario, if you don't like some of them, I think you will be able to 'weed them out'
