    Hi all.
Glad you are back safe Hosta.
Tree surgeons started work at 8.00 and knobhead neighbour had not left his car out on the road, and is now stuck and ranting. Have to admit I burst out laughing, almost offered to give him a lift, almost!

Hosta, I had the same problem in Singapore airport.  I had the laptop, but don't take my mobile on holiday.  I couldn't get an access code.  They will give you a code in the business lounge, but you have to ask for it. I had strong words with the nice lady asking me what I thought of their facilities.  No point having free wifi if you can't get in to it.

I hope the tree surgeons take their time to do the job carefully. Punkdoc.  Shame the council would not do a TPO. The small wood next door to me had an emergency blanket TPO granted 3 days after the owner died. Bit premature I thought, as they hadn't had the funeral yet.

    Hello all!

Sorry, been a bit absent lately.  I've been wrestling with HMRC (tax return, plus applying for Probate for Mum), among other things...

    Enjoy your nursery visits, Hosta!

    Karma indeed, Punkdoc...   :D

Not long to go now, Fairy.  Bet you can't wait!

Still only minus 2 here, but beautiful.

That's a good photo Liri.   Nice to see you back.  Good to get admin done while gardening opportunities are reduced.

Cold here and has turned cloudy with lots of big dark jobs sweeping in but no "precipitation".   Mega cleaning day here as Possum lands on Friday for 10 days and OH is out golfing tomorrow and I need him to wield the bloody Dyson.   Vegan shopping for me tomorrow.   7 days of it!  She's asked for lamb to be her first meat meal on the 1st of Feb but that depends as we're taking her to a fab new restaurant we've found.

I hope your grin was beaming Pdoc.  Karma indeed.

Chicky - there are techniques for machine patch which make it fast, neat and accurate, hence signing up for the course.  Yesterday was machine quilting using free guiding with the feed dogs down; a special foot and templates to make patterns.  Takes lots of practice and not cheap by the time I'd bought the special foot and the templates and some other essential bits and pieces.  Once I've mastered  getting even stitches I can also do freehand designs ad lib.

    Keep warm everyone.

    Home at last.
@punkdoc. Wouldn't it be a shame if the tree surgeons had to go off on an emergency and leave it overnight?
