I hope the snow isn't here tomorrow, new kitchen, a bit delayed, is being delivered tomorrow and kitchen fitters need to be here too. I've emptied it all out into the breakfast room and the hall sideboard. Bought the sideboard in a big furniture 2nd hand and antiques place, solid oak, £65, bargain.
I've painted the breakfast room, will be back to curtain making while the kitchen is being done.
We went to the local cinema to see The Favourite, enjoyed it but it was a bit weird in places and some of the background noise music was irritating. Good acting, lovely costumes.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good to see you Fairy ....the countdown is on.....3 - 2 - 1 😀😀😀😀
Hope the kitchen fitting goes smoothly Lizzie - is that your last big project in the new house?
Patchworking sounds like its getting complicated Obxx ......what are you making? Love the end result, but have never had the patience to try for long myself. And isn’t it fiendishly difficult by machine rather than hand ?
Not looking forward to this morning’s drive to work. Some snow last night was melting as it reached the ground .....will no doubt be a skating rink out there now 🙁
Morning all / afties, evening Pat. Hope you've cooled down a bit now. Snow's frozen here, and it's about minus 4, so the car may need a wee scrape. Fortunately, I have the ground feeder covered so it's ok for the bird food .I'll give them a bit of extra cheese and sultanas, although that shirty female hogs everything and chases all the others away. Countdown indeed chicky Take care on your journey. Hope the weather doesn't hold up proceedings BL. I've got scaffolders/builders coming at the weekend so I'm crossing fingers that the weather's more benign for them, and the roughcasting chaps on Monday. I'll have a quick look round if I can before I do my outdoor chores. Have a good day everyone.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
