@Pat E I know it's of no help but they are reporting your heatwave on our national news both TV & radio. They said daytime highs of 48 in some parts that's brutal . I noted they played some of the tennis at night presumably as it was "only" 36 C then.
Yes A, oh, it’s terrible. I’m too old to enjoy this heat. Not only the tennis, there’s the Tour Down Under in SA which is a bike race. The Adelaide Hills area are brutal.
Was told tinitus in both ears is usally OK, just in one ear can be indictive of accustic neuroma, was told I would need an urgent referal, the appointment came the following day, and is for 2 weeks time. Yes, they are not malignant, butthey can enlarge, and cause problems., are at the base of the brain stem. I just thought oh non malignant tumour of ear OK, brain sounds much more horrible. As for the thought of an MRI, I am so claustrophobic, I dont go in lifts, and when I have been in planes, as soons as they close the doors, I cant breath, and am usually hyperventilating on the floor, they are too small for me. My eldest daughter has had one, and just oh, you just need to relax, oh yeah.
We arrived at our Norfolk cottage last night, having stopped at Sainsburys on the way. OH put the heating on high, had been on at 11°, then we went to a local pub for dinner and a pint of Aspells cider.
Today I've been painting the breakfast room, not finished yet. The carpet men came to fit the hall carpet and they took the door to the kitchen off, said they hadn't been warned to bring a plane and they went off with the screws. I had asked for a bit of the old carpet to use as doormats but they said they'd put it in the van and wouldn't get it out. I rang the shop but the shop said the fitters weren't answering the phone.
This afternoon we went to a big antiques/2nd hand furniture place to look for a sideboard. They didn't have one but they did have a pretty little glass fronted on top corner unit, just right for the hall. Got it for a good price. They had a couple of others, not nearly so nice for £95, this one was unlabelled. I offered £75 and she accepted. It looks really nice in the hall.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Worth persevering, Nanny Beach. Diagnosis and treatment for a huge range of issues has changed out of all recognition in my lifetime. For example no-one can now accuse me of being a heartless b*****d because I had an ECG this week that proves that I have one
Nanny B no-one in the entire world was more apprehensive than I was.for MRI. Mine was head and neck It was Hosta who did it for me, ”it’s just very noisy” oh and don’t open your eyes. Truly if I did it Anyone Can!!
what is frightening you is fear itself
have you heard this one, my Grannie used to say it. Fear knocked on the door,Faith answered and there was no one there.

Good morning all we have a frost again, but not as severe as yesterday.
Yay! A Supermoon tomorrow evening and between 3.30 and 5 am Monday morning we can watch a lunar eclipse and a Blood Moon ... if we’re awake ... and if there’s a clear sky ...

Hello all.
