  • @Nanny Beach Try practising deep breathing, slowly breathe out for a count of 10 then in for a count of 5. Breathing out longer than in always helps relax you. Concentrating on that will distract you from whatever else is going on around you. If you have any soothing music you like listening to that helps too. Try it before the procedure several times, the more you practice the deeper relaxation you will achieve.
    It's worth a try.

Night night all ... don’t forget the eclipse if you’re awake between 3:30 and 5:30 ... and if the sky is clear ... otherwise sweet dreams ...

We’ve been moon watching since 3.30, fantastic moon, clear sky, millions of stars. So lucky.
Venus is just up with Jupiter, really bright.

Good morning all  :). Lucky you @Lyn ... I did wake but the cloud cover was too thick to see anything  :'(
Not thick enough to avoid a sharp frost tho...

Lovely photo Chicky. I envy you your lovely walk.
Our respite from the heat didn’t last very long. It’s already back again.🤬

Thick cloud was forecast so I didn’t venture out of my cosy bed to see the eclipse, but when I did wake I noticed it was in fact clear.
Have a good day all - wrap up warm!

I was just stepping out the back door loaded with Ukelele, music and handbag, when Hubby said watch out - snake!  Sure enough, a brown snake was whizzing along the concrete path. Hubby rushed back in for the .22 and out again - one dead snake.   Here it is moved onto the grass.

    Hi all.

Too much cloud to see the eclipse here.
Don't think I could cope with Australia, @Pat E. Snakes put me off going on safari for years, finally did first trip to South Africa and on first night walking back to our hut...... you guessed it, and a totally sleepless night followed. Have managed 2 further safaris since, but still terrified of snakes. A charging Bull Elephant that was only about 50 yards away, when walking in the bush, did not panic me at all, strange.
Not looking forward to this week, I am terrified about Moira's operation, she however remains very calm.
