    Hi all.
Tree surgeons have just turned up to start decimating one of my beautiful Beech trees.
I could have continued my battle with neighbour from hell, but no guarantee i would win, and he was clearly prepared to drag it on forever.
He came outside to try and goad me, when he saw me, but I have so far remained calm.
    Safe journey home, @Hostafan1

One of the reasons we prefer to holiday in the West Country ... even if we have to drive and stop overnight on the way  ;)<3

Sorry to hear that Punkdoc, but I’m proud that you’ve been able to stay calm so far. In the end, it’s not worth upsetting yourself and giving him the satisfaction of witnessing it.

@punkdoc, you're the better person, try to rise above it.

    Absolutely agree @punkdoc ((hugs))

Have you space to plant some more trees further from your boundary?

Luckily, we have have extensive tree cover on our boundary, it is just the sheer unnecessariness of doing the work that I object to.
There is a limb, that crosses the drive, but is at least 30 foot above it that is the problem.
The drive is far too narrow to get any vehicle that would be high enough, down it.
It is just wanton vandalism, of a tree that we know is over 200 years old.

Really sad to hear that pdoc. He's presumably a little tyrant who has to 'win' to feel good about himself. I expect he's basically a miserable person. You have bigger fish to fry for now. Hope for some Karma to take a hand for you

Such a shame doc - these people only see a victory, they don't see the bigger picture and never will. Glad you're rising above it.
He's a little man - in any ways, no doubt.  ;)
Been slightly absent here, and not had the energy to read back, so I won't try. The 'pooter has been taking so long to start up that I don't have time to wait in the mornings. for it. Must get some new hamsters and a bigger wheel for them...
Hope no one is having any big problems, but a sprinkle of fairy dust being blown to anyone who needs it.
My last week at work - seems very strange!
Bit of snow here, been snowing most of the morning, but only a couple of inches so nothing to get excited about, and some little spells of sun to melt some of it in between. The road was icy this morning though, as forecast, but everyone seemed to be driving properly, and not assuming the gritted roads were hunky dory.

    Hiya fairy.
I was wondering where you were.
I was skulking when you announced your big news, so did not have time to congratulate you.
Obviously I only know you as an online friend, but I think you are the sort of person that will seize retirement with both hands, and will never look back.
    Well done you.
