    Hello all.

Best wishes to you and your hubby, @Pat E.  Hope those storms subside soon and you get some cooler weather.

@Nanny Beach - my son-in-law's mother had an acoustic neuroma removed successfully around 15 years ago.  She is absolutely fine, just deaf in the affected ear (which she doesn't mind as it allows her to block out her husband's snores at night!).

@steephill - best wishes to you too.  Your positive attitude does you credit.

@punkdoc - good news about Moira's interview.  Hope the op goes ahead this time!

Beautifully sunny here but still around freezing.  We ought to go for a walk later... if we can summon up the energy...

  • Sorry to hear of everyone's medical woes all I can add (having beaten the big C twice  myself) is stay positive & act as fast as the system will let you. The sooner you tackle it the more likely is a good outcome. I presume it's the same for other conditions no doubt the Doc will correct me if I am wrong.

    Evening all.
A glorious day spent by the pool / walking on the beach. Hardly a screaming brat all day, some selfish Swedish smokers decided to sit right beside us despite the poolside being largely empty. Hey ho, can't have everything. I suppose if you're stupid enough to smoke, you're too stupid to realise other folk hate it.

@punkdoc ... I’d missed the news about the interview ... fingers are crossed.

Weve had had an early supper of roasted squash risotto with some chard from the garden and are now stuffed to the gills  flollopped on the sofa in front of Eggheads (Jeremy Vine is sooo annoying ... bring back Dermot Murnaghan) ... have a good evening folks  :)

No go on the job front, unfortunately.
Operation at end of next week and then a re think. [ Don't tell her, but I like having her at home ]

I've only seen eggheads a couple of times but found pretty much everyone on it " soooo annoying" I've never such smugness on a tv programme.

Sorry it didn't pan out - pdoc. Hope the op goes well and that Plan B (or are you on Plan C?) is better for you both. I know someone else who needs a good Plan B, if you have a spare one...

I wonder if he'll lose his license? From what the  article says, he pulled out of a driveway and hit another car. If he's pulling out of  a driveway, he didn't have right of way.
Bigger question: 97 year olds behind the wheel????

I suspect that she who must be obeyed might stop him driving in future.
    Interesting insurance claim though.
