@Muddle-Up.  Thankyou, that is so kind of you,I wish I knew more about these newfangled devices, but I'm usually away with whatever fairy comes to call!😊

I love the one of the 2 little girls playing on the doorstep, that's exactly what I used to do.
It conjures up the innocence of childhood . Which one is you @Valley Gardener ?

The one on the right,my friend,Anthea had measles which left her poorly sighted, hence the specs, and she always had these little fly away pigtails, her doll was called Johnny, made of some weird plastic type substance, and mine was called Big Pat!!  Don't ask!!     However Anthea still has Johnny, but I left Big Pat out in the rain, and she dissolved!  My Mum wasn't best pleased.

Hey,I keep 're reading your poem,it is so good, you have everything in it,I can't wait to hear what the others say.   Well done.

    Once there was a garden
Where lived a group of friends
    A Blackbird, Mouse and Hedgehog
    Whose friendship never ends.

    Mr B the blackbird
He lived there through the day.
    He knew the human, Anni,
would let him have his way.

    She fed him special mealworms,
    Suet, and some seed.
He knew full well that Anni
    Would fulfill his every need.

    Little Mouse and Hedgehog
    Would visit through the night.
    Mouse would check for Hedgehog
    - Was the dish filled up just right?

It had to be the dog food.
    Nothing else would do.
    Hedgehog was quite fussy,
    This much Mouse he knew.

    Then one Summer morning
    Mr B arrived,
    Much to his amazement
"There is no food" he cried.

    Little Mouse and Hedgehog
    Were heading on their way.
    "Hasn't Anni fed you yet?"
    The mouse heard Hedgehog say.

    "My babies, they are hungry"
    Mr B replied.
"I really need to feed them,
What can I do?" he sighed.

    But Hedgehog, he was clever,
He knew just what to do.
    He snuffled round the garden
Then said "This is for you"

"The finest slugs and slimy worms,
The best that I can find.
    This should feed your babies"
    Said Mr B, "How Kind".

    "We really must be going"
    Said Hedgehog, "It's so late.
I'm sure Anni will be here soon
    With mealworms on a plate"

So when you're in the garden,
    Don't forget to care.
    Feed hedgehogs and the blackbirds
    And other creatures there.

All thanks to anni for the poem and valley for the portrait.

That is just the sweetest of poems @AnniD. That could almost have been written in my garden except the rodent would be a rat and not a mouse. Loving the gentle colouring of the picture too. Very talented people!
