Cheers chicky . Have a really lovely Christmas x  :)
Dove - you have plenty of time yet to become sensible  :D
BL - that made me laugh that you can find your car in car parks! So many cars now are silver/grey, and when I had a different jeep, I thought it would be fairly easy to spot because it was higher, but there were so many cars the same colour, it wasn't as simple as I thought!

Does it not have a ski hole, Dove? My astra twintop has a gap in the back seat that drops to make room for skis. Comes in handy for bamboo canes too. I had to use it with a cane and a hook on the end when my boot jammed on something. Mind you, climbing into the back seat on a two door takes some doing these days. My mum has problems getting out of the front passenger seat. She much prefers hubbys volvo estate.
Grey and drizzly here. I may get my domestic head on and make some gingerbread men if I can find a suitable recipe.

Before the days of Harry Potter CDs for long car journeys we used to play a game - pick a colour and count the cars we see.  First to 100 wins.   Didn't take long for silver and grey to be banned as choices as they added up too fast.  Then we turned it on its head and went for yellow cars.  That takes ages.  Our first Zafira was a lovely Bordeaux red but these two are blue - limited colour range then but both better than silver, grey or white.

Love those forks Chicky.   Happy baking and pud making.    I now have 3 litres of sweet chili sauce bottled and a bit left over in a bowl.   Should last us a while........

Walkies next - when Possum wakes up.   Having a cold seems to be very tiring.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

  • Looks like everyone is getting into the swing of things even after a few disasters with cars and fridges etc  :/

Apparently we now have fourteen staying until new years day, so I have just been informed by daughter No2 so I have told her she will have to eat and sleep in the shed  :D

So we are filling up fast eight arrived today so far and two more due tonight with the rest tomorrow so I've just sneaked in here for a rest and a quiet snifter before starting dinner.

Be good all and I wish you all a great and Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year

    Blimey G'sBoy - can't you run a way for a week?  :D
I'm glad my days of doing that are done. Too much for me to deal with. Hope you have a great time though, and can stay sane. Merry Christmas to you and yours  :)
The freezing fog is dense here, and is...well...freezing.
I chose that light bronze colour for my new car. It's quite subtle, but different. Some folk don't care for the colour, but I love it.
Managed to get into my shed - unscrewed the hinges and then the lock. Got a new one coming - with two keys  ;)

  • @Fairygirl  It's not that bad it is all adults the youngest 22 but of course I cant guarantee we will all be acting like adults all of the time after a few drinks  :D

But just to keep them all in check I have entered them all into the annual Christmas morning swim down at the beach  :D

One of our cars is nut brown metallic the other boring white but as I was told some years ago white is good as it visible where as other colours can blend into the background and make it difficult for other drivers to see.

Now I must go I can here people asking where I have gone I expect there hungry or thirsty

    afternoon all.
Well, that wasn't too bad after all.
I was delivering to my last customer and I squeals from the kitchen" THEY'VE SENT BLOODY FROZEN BRUSSEL SPROUTS!!!"
    I was standing at the front door and , quick as a flash, checked my electronic handset whatsit. As she came flying round into the hall, 5 bags of sprouts in hand , I held it up, she stopped in her tracks and said;
     " what's that?"
"it's your order Madam, you ordered frozen2
    "Oh, did I?"
" It appears so. Of course, if you don't want them I'm happy to return them to store"
" Oh that's very kind of you."
Her daughter said " Would you like me to drive to Waitrose and get some fresh?"

Highlight of the day was a customer who asked me about wine , then she said
    " Can I ask you a favour?2
    "Of course you can Madam"
" You delivered to me on my birthday last year and it was the highlight of my day. I'd not laughed so much all year. It's my birthday on Saturday and I've a delivery coming . Can you bring it?"
" Erm, no sorry, but I don't work on Saturday."
"not to worry, at least I've seen you today"
I haven't the faintest recolection of the delivery. Does that make me a bad person?

That's a hanging offence, Hosta - frozen sprouts. First world problems eh?  ;)
...and 5 bags. of 'em... :o

No - it doesn't make you a bad person - just a funny one  :)

G's Boy - I bet they're hoping it isn't sub zero on Tuesday then  :D

  • Hello all!

Christmas has arrived here - we've just put up the decorations.  No time to get bored with them before they have to come down again...   :D

So is this Shrodinger's drone?  Is it or isn't it??  If it was a speck on some PC's binoculars there ought to be all hell to pay.   :/

Hope those of you with houses full of guests have a wonderful time.  OH and I are on our own until 27th - to be honest, just the way I like it... I love my family but just a few days with them is perfect.  Apanthropy is my new favourite word (love of solitude).  Up with introverts!   :)

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

My favourite song lyric is from "That's entertainment" by The Jam.
"Two lovers kissing amongst the scream of midnight
Two lovers missing the tranquillity of solitude"
