We are watching Mary and Paul cooking sweet Christmas foods. 😛 He’s reallyhands on isn’t he.  Hope his hands are clean. He throws flour all over the place.

Morning all/afties, evening Pat. The ice cream is a staple for you, isn't it?  :)
Needless to say, I wouldn't swap our weather with your weather  ;)
It's currently minus four, and it's all very white and sparkly. Meant to be fog today, and still a warning for it, but perhaps we got it all yesterday.
The blackies were out waiting for me to feed them. They now have cheese, sultanas and fat pieces as well as their seed . I was a bit late today as I took daughter to work and got the last bits and pieces. Scale wouldn't work, despite best efforts from staff,  so I got a butternut squash for nowt. Merry Christmas  ;)
Glad you're a bit more chipper LP. Nice thoughts there for everyone too.
    Have a good day AuntyR.
Fingers crossed you have no emergencies today, Dove  :)
Fidget - the other kind of 4x4 would be better for your nephew. He could drive somewhere remote and keep it in his trousers  :D
I don't have comforting words like LP, but I'll just say to everyone, in the words of that famous bard, Noddy Holder [ ;) ]   'look to the future, it's only just begun'

Have a good day folks, whatever you get up to

Fidget, I was thinking of you today when I rushed into town to get Hubbie’s Xalatan eye drops. I remember you comments about people leaving their scripts til the last minute.🤭

I bumped into the " first responder " yesterday, who came to my aid a year ago today.
I told him I wasn't planning on having him out for the anniversary:
" do what you like , I'm not on call"  I told him they'd still not got to the bottom of the problem, but that I'd not had another major episode since he came out.
Wishing all our emergency service staff  a  very happy , and quiet , professionally , xmas and new year.
    Devon.

Is that really a year Hosta?  :open_mouth:
Totally agree - the A&E departments, in particular, must dread this time of year  - especially next week. The sh*te they put up with is beyond belief.
If you're looking in doc, we're nearly there - almost the new year. Remember Noddy's sentiments if it all gets too much  ;)

I spoke too soon about the fog - it's all rolled in, and you can't see the moor and the windfarm now. The wee robin was all fluffed up on the frozen branches

  • Lots of birds on the feeders this morning ... Gt tits, greenfinches, goldfinches, lots and lots of bluetits and of course blackbirds and the robin :)

OH thought we'd got another problem ... the wok burner on the gas hob kept trying to light itself ... turned out he'd spilt some water when making the porridge and we think some had got somewhere and made a 'connection' .... turned the electric switch off and left it an hour ... all is well ... Phew!!! :D
