...  I'd not put cooking the gammon on the list   :o   ............ why didn't someone remind me?  :/    It wasn't until I got the cloves out for the bread sauce that I remembered it ............ I'll attend to it now .........

Hello everyone.  Lovely thoughts LP.  Pleased you're feeling better and hope it continues.

Much to Possum's delight (not) we're having the rest of the pumpkin soup for lunch with extra lime juice.  Tonight will be Thai fish cakes with stir fry veggies in the hopes all the vitamins help shift the residue of her cold.   I got out the patry to make mince pies and found a major technical hitch.   No mincemeat left.  Could have sworn we had some.   Oooops!   Lateral thinking coming up.

Good luck to all for the last preparations.   12C here and murky grey here so not feeling festive yet but it is lovely having Poss home and not having to spend 8 hours a day revising for January exams which has been the pattern for the last 5 years..........  She just has to do 3 hours a day of project work.

A bit overwhelmed with stuff, at the moment, so not been on much.
Just wanted to wish all my friends on here:
    A very happy Christmas.
Cherish those you love, spare a thought for the many less fortunate than yourselves and lets hope for a better world in 2019.

Sorry you're feeling down Pdoc.   Not surprising really but do try and rise above.  It will help both you and Moira.    Hope you can enjoy a wee tipple and some good food to cheer you up.

Lots of possible solutions to the mincemeat shortage but we've plumped for treacle tart with ginger added to make it more festive.    Home grown lemon too.

Oh my!  Watching River Cttage cos the Beeb has nothing of interest and there are holiday ads already!!  I thought they started on Boxing Day.
