Obelixx, while I think of it, in the jigsaws, I found some lovely puzzles under “quilts”. You might like to have a look, for ideas and of course, the pleasure of doing the puzzles.
I meant to say earlier that I remember ‘stitch in the ditch’ from many years ago.😳

  • Good morning all  :)
We’re having a lie in as OH has the firm’s Christmas do this evening. Thankfully partners aren’t expected to go and be jovial with people they don’t know. I can snooze on the sofa and watch the Strictly final!

Monring all/afties/evening Pat. Glad your veg is all tickety boo  :)
Thanks for the offer re the wrist things, but I already have my wrists well covered, including fur round the sleeves on the jacket. I know they say keeping wrists warm helps, but I've never found that to ebe the case unfortunately. As someone who worked outdoors in all weathers for decades, I'm always well prepared with clothing, but frankly - I can keep warmer out on a hill in winter than I can in there!  :D
Just  a wee layer of snow/frozen stuff here for now, but it's gey windy with leaden skies, and it can't seem to decide whether it wants to hail, snow or do something/everything in between. The worst is to be later on I think.  Hasn't been much above zero since teatime yesterday at best. Almost light - but it's so grey I doubt it'll be properly light for a while.
I'm not mentioning Brexsh*t or politicians here. Sick to death of the whole thing, and them.
My tree is in and up,and settling in so that I can dress it today.
Put loads of food out for the birds. Think I might do a cover of some sort for the ground feeder, to protect it from snow. I do it with another bit where I have food for the blackbirds etc, using one of the little perspex tables I have. :)

  • Morning @Fairygirl :). Brrrr! I’ve just been out and topped up the ground feeder ... think the woodies have been helping themselves  ;)
Now OH is awake so I’ve come back to bed for my second coffee ... apparently my feet are cold. I won’t tell him I went out there with bare feet! :flushed:  :hushed:

    Morning all.
It's been a wet old night and there's a lot more of it to come.
18 days before we return to the heat and the sunshine.

We’ve had a strange brownish sky all day and now there’s a grey cloud moving over the range from the coast. The temperature has dropped as well.

  • Think I’ve persuaded OH to come with me to the GC to get a little tree today  :D

That's nice Dove. Hope you get a nice one. Mine's a Fraser fir - nice and compact and bushy. Can't beat a real tree.  :)

I got one in a pot as well as the cut one. Thought it would be nice to have outside, and let it grow on.
