@Hostafan1, having been dry for most of the summer, it is now about 2 foot deep, with white water. At least it will be clearing out some of the detritus.

Persisting down here too and very blustery. Hibernating sort of day apart from cooking OH's birthday feast. Being a cheeky chap, he's asked for scallops for lunch and Chinese for dinner. Odd.
Our pond is less than half full but at least it's filling up. I need to gird my wotsits for a trip to the polytunnel to check all my treasures as some will be thirsty by now.

I'm on our 3rd load of washing. I've lit the woodburner, cut more kindling about to go chop more firewood. A nice cuppa and a pain au chocolat to keep me going first.
