I generally react badly to jabs and anaesthetics. My TB jab at school was OK, I walked down the corridor and the floor came up to meet me. Now I sit down for a while after any jabs. If I have to have more than one at a time for travelling, I try and get them in separate arms, as I always seem to get the stiff arm afterwards. I try and avoid hospitals, last time I had an op, I was first in to the operating theatre, and last to be wheeled out of the recovery room. I could barely stand for the rest of the day. My mum reacts to anaesthetics the same. It doesn't seem to wear off as fast as it should.
Lovely week bashing brambles on the North Devon coast - some gorgeous weather, some rather less than gorgeous, especially on Friday when I came home... chaos on the railway followed by chaos on the roads, so my National Express bus didn't actually reach Bradford until the wee small hours on Saturday.
@Hostafan1 - so sorry to have ignored your kind suggestion of a cuppa, but I was without phone or computer last week so didn't see your message until I got home... plus I was on public transport, which would have made it impossible, I think. Tempting though...
Son, DIL and grandson were here again when I landed at home, and off to a wedding on Saturday. They've just left so now I'm looking for Duplo under the sofa.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
My friend has just come back from Devon and she says the beach(Dawlish I think) had a sign on it. Help yourself to seaweed. Washed up stuff is going to die and rot. It is not sustainable to keep cutting it off rocks,
Good to have you back Liri - probably one of the worst weeks, weatherwise, for you to be travelling though! Got to hand it to you - you don't shirk away frpom hard graft I forgot to tell you there's a prog called Scotland from the Sky, which started last night BBC2 8pm. It's about aerial photography, so some nice views among the history
At least you know about it fidget, and are prepared when you have a jag. I can still remember people getting very worked up at school when we got our BCG, and having bad reactions to it. Has anyone seen Yvie or LG? Have I missed them saying they were going away? Or forgotten.... Turkey bol. wasn't bad. Needs lots of oomph added to it though. Probaly add a bit more next time.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
FG - I know what you mean but The Boxer is a much better song.
Strange colour skies at sunset made OH think we're in for a storm. I wish. Checked the forecast again and they now think we may get a couple of mms overnight. Not a storm then.
Glad you got home safely Liri and that you've had a quiet day Busy. FB - I couldn't be doing with two arms out of action.
Roast guinea fowl in the oven along with parsnips and some Bramleys for a crumble - no, not all in the same pot!
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Evening gang. Made an Autumn stew (chicken, leeks, root veg, butternut squash) here - smells immense - herby scones to go with it 😋 Broke my own rule and brought some Cr****mas stuff at craft fayre - including a nice material handmade advent calendar which has pockets just big enough for some little miniature booze, chocolate bars...💭 Hooe you all cosy and relaxed.
Edit: jab arm better, although I felt a bit under-par yesterday.
I think you might well be right Obelixx, but what elevates BOTW to something very special is Artie's voice. A gift from the gods. Still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Mr Simon is such a brilliant songwriter though. Some of his solo albums are among my all time favourites, although not Graceland, which I loathed.

so...not for the children then.... .
Both your dinners sound good. Definitely something to try for the current time of year, although it would be chicken for both here.

Oh yes @Fairygirl that advent calendar is just for me 😁 - probably should have made that clear! 😂 To be fair, even the seller marketed it as for that purpose! She must have been in cahoots with the vendor of the flavoured gins!
