Glad all is going well LP. I think I missed where you were going - but have a great time.
Unpleasant day here, although the rain went off a little by lunchtime. The wind woke me a bit through the night, but I didn't think it was too bad. Just a horrible smirr/drizzle/can't make up it's mind  type of rain now, and wind picking up again.
Do you think Liri's got to Devon yet.... :D
Work was ok , but the filming bloke didn't appear. Apparently coming tomorrow now. My colleague is not amused. She worked today when she was meant to be off.....she certainly isn't doing the same tomorrow.
Hosta - do you not do a wash every day to stop it building up, or is there a reason?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Went to an Apple day on Sunday , Gunby Hall Lincolnshire, amazed at number of varieties
Then drove to the coast at Skegness
    Hope all’s well with everybody

    Evening all .
@Fairygirl I normally have a blitz when the sun is shining as the laundry goes into the conservatory to dry off. If I did it every day , there would always be laundry hanging around.
I've been mowing under the trees in the wood as the leaves are starting to fall. 7 dumpy sacks full now and they've barely started falling. Lots more to go.
The forecast is good for tomorrow so I'm aiming to cut the grass.
    Devon.

Hosta - I don't know exactly where our tin opener is either.  Most tins these days have a ring pull!   Bit of a shock when they don't and I have to hunt.   I only do a wash when I have enough lights, darks, coloured etc to go in the machine.

Feeling energised but exhausted too after an afternoon of patch where one lady complained about my terminology for a zip!!  Turns out what I call a tirette is a "fermeture éclaire" in French French so I said I always thought an éclair was something to eat and they'll just have to excuse my Franglais and Belgian.   Much laughter.   Then at mosaic class I got confused between 65 and 75 when wriiting a cheque because English and Belgian French say 75 whereas French French goes 60 15    Ludicrous.  The 80s and 90s are even worse.  What sane modern person says 80 19 instead of 99?

Got lots done tho and good chat.   Just finished dinner with OH and now watching Uni Challenge.

LP - pleased you're healing well now even if it is a bit slow.   FG - more slap tomorrow then.

I’ve been for a little walk around the yard, so here are a few photos.

Acacia pravissima (Ovens Wattle) noted for its triangular shaped leaves.

And it’s lovely yellow spring flowers 😀

Strange shaped cloud - maybe a thunder cloud. There is rain predicted.

Love that Acacia Pat 💛💛💛. Spring is definitely on its way for you 👍🏻

Littlest chicklet got very excited as filming of her road was on the news last night .....I was less excited as it was a report of an attempted murder 🙄.  Just cranked the worry meter up a notch😳

Always do our washing at the weekend, no time during the week.  At one stage that meant I had a line of 8 trugs ready to go in....all in a row across the kitchen floor 😝.  These days, less trugs 😉

Work still mad busy.....had to miss Pilates last night.  This time next week it’ll all be over and I can start looking forward to our Moselle cycling trip.  Is it too early to start obsessing over weather forecasts do you think 🤔

Autumn hasnt reached the SE corner yet, even the acers arent turning, no leaves falling, garden still blazing with my home grown cosmos, dahlias (yup I grew from free seeds) annuals, roses, grasses, salvias. On the beach at the harbour yesterday (Eastbourne) saw camera crew, cameras facing skyward, would have gone and asked but damaged foot last week while staying at no 2 daughters while babysitting, unable to walk on shingle/uneven ground,Hubby too shy to go and ask, I know "they" are filming at Beachy Head, well, I went to the loo, and missed THE SPITFIRE, they were filming!!!  Thanks FG, unfortunately, the messages, I clicked on "all messages" they only go back to April, I cant remember the user names of the 2 ladies I pm, so Mary if you are still out there would love to here from you!

Morning People. Glad you like the Wattle. and yes, we’ve got rain. No blue skies anymore. It’s 5.25pm, so I guess the light will go soon.
Ive mixed a few containers of stew/soup from the freezer plus red lentils and plonked the lot into the oven. Hubby has made creamy mashed potato for the top of some small containers, so dinner tonight will be a sort of shepherds pie.  Smells good.
