Mechanic has just left . Fuel pipe in ride on had a tiny leak. Not enough to see a puddle, but enough to stink out the garage and the flat above.
Worzle has not been returned after MOT today but THAT mechanic hasn't called to let me know why, nor does he ever answer his phone. grrrr.

Turned manky here too FG with drizzle so not a lot of wet stuff in the end.  Good that Fairylet is driving on.  When's her test?  Fish for dinner here and still debating Thai or tagine style spicing.

Busy - our cluster flies seem to be done for this year.  They tend to congregate round the shutters and then die all over the floor so need hoovering up every day for a while.   No chemicals needed.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Thanks Diana. We'd sort of worked it out ourselves, as she was getting the problem after eating red meat. It's a shame as she would happily eat bolognese every night! The iron was something I was concerned about, so we may have to address that. Her skin breaks out when she has dairy, so we've changed the yogurts we use for sauces, and she buys almond or soya milk, although she doesn't have that very often as she doesn't drink tea, and only occasionally coffee or hot chocolate, so it's manily if she has cereal. It's fairly easy now to get soya milk or similar anywhere, which really helps.
My sister suddenly had a terrible bout of IBS, which appeared out of nowhere, and gave her some real issues. It sems to have settled now. Strange how these things happen. No history in our family, as far as I know, either.
Hope your health issues get better soon. We take these things for granted when we're well.  :)
No test application yet Obs. They seem to spend ages doing maneouvering/parking etc  before they go on a road and get above 2nd gear. Changed days  ;)

    Evening all.
Must be hard to alter diet - I found cutting out caffeine enough for me to be getting on with.
All doors locked and curtains/blinds down to minimise Trick or Treat-ers! Don’t get me started...
An easy tea of sausage baps here and probably some TV catch-up this evening.
    Hope you all ok.

Same here AuntyR - although I discovered some apples, which I was saving for the birds, that haven't stored very well in the cupboard, and I thought of offering them to any small brats who appeared... :D

I think the life-lesson of “you can’t just knock on doors, even if dressed in a costume, and expect sweets” has been achieved tonight.

  • One of our GD's is Wheat & Dairy Intolerant, her older sister is severely allergic to Peanuts. We spend our lives reading the ingredients on the back of packets at the SM  :/ . Fortunately as we have always cooked most things from fresh we manage ok when we cater for them. The youger one likes the products based on coconut milk the best I think it is sweeter but without any added sugar.

I must be a grumpy old fairy then  :D
For us, it's just about experimenting a bit. I don't have an issue with the price of the milk/yogurt, although I appreciate that's difficult for many people. I'd happily eat nothing but chicken or fish, and some veggie meals, but there's 3 of us, and it's about compromise.  :)
We mainly cook from fresh too, but we've tried a few other 'alternative' things as well. After decades of cooking, I need a break now and again  ;)
Just watched the Landscape Artist prog, which is very pleasant. One of the blurbs said it was from Glen Fyne, but it was actually Loch Fyne, round at the Inveraray side. They didn't have the clearest of days ... :D

Fairy - I cook from fresh every day too except when I've batch made and frozen bol sauce for speedy dinners before dance class.

We've been catching up with Killing Eve this evening.   Much better than the Bodyguard tho still a bit odd.   News is on now.  I wonder if we could persuade the Beeb to have a 48 hour hiatus on anything Brexit.  Now it's going to mess sup football and racing.  Scraping the barrel for new angles?
