  • I have Pipistrelles in the roof here and we have Bechstein's in a local wood apparently.

Dove passing the buck seems to be the norm these days no one is ever willing to take any responsibility any more.

Been a sunny morning spent some time in the garden and at the allotment just pottering around really the old pumps been playing around a bit today so nothing to strenuous.

This afternoon taken the wraps off the model railway (my winter project) and started to get it working again.

Dove, be careful do you really want one? There is a lot of controversy about them
we were all set last spring to get one, they arrived and refused to do it as we have to properties on the land and they didn’t know which was which.!
they don’t seem to be reliable and haven’t been going long enough to provide stats

Strange day, went out to plant bulbs, suddenly felt very tired, managed to sleep for four hours. Probably bad news for tonight.

If you're awake later and have clear skies you can maybe do some star gazing Pdoc.  Or do you have light pollution?

Calling all birdy experts, there's a great deal of chatting and song going on round here at the mo.   What's that about?  Not dawn chorus stuff but delightful on the whole.  Bit of argy bargy occasionally.

Hello all. We are back from Lake Maggiore, wonderful scenery, beautiful gardens. Lovely food. Dread weighing myself! Weather was good.

Haven't read back yet, will take ages!

I am in North Wales at the moment, visiting SIL. We went to Bodnant today. We managed to get six of us in free, using National Trust and RHS cards. The weather was gorgeous.  The acers are starting to colour up. I intend loading up with seaweed from a local beach before we come back tomorrow. We have just emptied a magnum of champagne between six of us, as it is out wedding anniversary tomorrow.  Have a good evening folks.
Ps Pat I love the yellow mimosa.

I went and got THAT tin in the garage, I reckon we all have one, with all the bit and bobs of nuts/bolts/screws in it and found one which fitted the bolt.
    What? Just one tin?  :D
I knwo exactly where my tin opener is  ;) I've just bought a new one - had the last one for thirty years! I don't buy many things in tins, but the baked beans I get don't have ring pulls.
Obs - it occurred to me that since we're trying to cut out a lot of red meat [ due to it not agreeing with youngest fairylet ] it would be worth trying. We were chatting about lentil soup making at work yesterday as my colleaugue had added far too many lentils to hers. Told her to take some out and freeze in portions, so that they're ready to drop into her soup mixes in future. That's what gave me the idea. I think I'll make a load of lentils and do exactly that.  :)
Dove - it really makes you wonder about these companies. Bl**dy hopeless.
Rain has finally eased off, and not so windy here.  Lots of disruption further north. The Rest and be Thankful is blocked by landslip, just for a change. Nice detour  ;)

I liked the thought of some of the fillings in the vegan pastries.
Wont say anything else until Aunty R has caught up.

Hope you enjoy the one day of sunshine tomorrow FG.
