    Congratulations Yvie  :)

Punk - Hope they get Moira on some effective treatment soon. I've been posting cheques to the bank for years (long before online banking) - I pick up a wodge of paying in slips if I'm in town passing a bank, then stick one with the cheque in the post to my bank branch. It's never been a problem.
There was a small branch of one bank in the village when we moved here but it closed years ago. Natwest have a mobile bank that parks up in the High Street one day a week, the two 'convenience' stores both have cash machines. The post office closed but there's a post office counter in Spar where you can do quite a lot of banking type stuff.

We have a GP surgery and an excellent pharmacy in the village, luckily. The vets in a nearby town run a two hour surgery twice a week in a small room over the bakery. The pharmacist remarked to me shortly after we got here that there aren't many things you might need that you can't get in the village, if you know who to ask.

Lilyp, your spell checker has fiddled with your post. What was it you had at Merimbula?

    Morning all.
Congrats on the little one @Yviestevie .
@Pat E  I don't think I've seen one of those before. Are those back feet normal? they look like they're facing the wrong way?

I see Hosta's workplace has been listed on TripAdvisor. It has an impressive plastic tunnel apparently.
