    I never understand why programs are hosted by people who have no     knowledge, experience or idea about the subject they are talking about.

    Just read the thread about the RHS slug report quite interesting but the best bit was a new word.

    Think Tony Robinson’s role  on historical programmes is to be ‘Everyman’ ... to ask the questions the man in the street would ask ... a bit as Baldric did ... it avoids danger of the experts appearing didactic. 

    I quite like TR ... don’t agree with everything he says and does but I think he’s a man of principle and thee are too few of them around nowadays.
