Mine appeared the other night by the time I'd come indoors, put the food in the fridge and went back to lock the door. He must have been "lying in wait" amongst the agapanthus pots.

No hedgehogs spotted here recently which is a shame but there's plenty of habitat for them so I hope they're doing OK.

Cool today.  I've had to start my day in trousers!   And two kitties snuggled on the bed which hasn't happened for months.

Nothing planned this weekend so mucho pottering will be done.    They've taken away our rain again so no downpour tonight and no wet stuff for the next 10 days.    Humph!

Hope everyone is well and drowning or being blown away.  How's the stream Doc?  And your trees LP?  Did your woodland survive Joyce?

Morning all. You’re all in fine form today. 😏

Another funny story. Aldi had some small pots of tomato seedlings on Wednesday. I stood there for a while, telling myself that you really do know that it’s too early yet, however, the temptation won out so I bought just one. When I got home, I put it into a  bigger pot with lovely new potting mix, and closed up the greenhouse for the night. Thursday mornings Hubby said the temp had gone down to minus 5 overnight. Yes, you guessed it, I went to the GH and inspected the bedraggled plant. I’ve cut off the shrivelled branch ends and covered the remnants of main stem and a couple of small branches and covered the whole thing with a bubble wrap bag. I never learn! 😡 it hasn’t deteriorated further, so I’m hoping my plastic covering does the job. They are predicting more snow on the ski fields.

    I've got socks on!  :o

Hello Pat .... it's so tempting to make an early start isn't it?  :(

Maybe the kitchen windowsill would be safer for now Pat.

I've been and had a chat with the two ficuses we brought in last night.  They are looking very bonny and healthy after their summer hols.

I've rarely had socks off Dove  :D
I had them on in bed the other night too.... :|
Oh Pat - hopefully it'll revive. At least it wasn't cold for a long term, so it should only have checked it briefly. Fingers crossed.
Where's my watery sun gone? It's all grey and murky again.  Boo hiss.
Hope LP's eyes are improving. It always makes me uncomfortable when eyes are being poked and prodded - no matter how often people say it's all fine and you don't feel a thing.... I'm a big coward when it comes to that.  😳
