Hi hi everyone. For some reason the Formers site wasn’t available today. Just come back on. glad you liked my spring flowers must go, Regina is here. 🤭
We eat anything, except I hate the lingering smell and taste of garlic and I don’t like honey. Roland doesn’t like corned beef. My kids were always good eaters, they always had a choice of meals, eat it or leave it, so they ate it. They now eat almost anything and so do my grandchildren. Ive never tried soy mince but daughter buys the Quorn, we didn’t like that. I would rather cut down on the real meat, and like Joyce, we have mostly chicken and fish. I feel that if I live as long as my parents did, not having any food fads and issues,( as they’re called these days,) then I will be satisfied, not a lot of fun to be had when you’re in you’re 90’s.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Breeze now and again Joyce, but it's just damp and grey after looking promising. We're to get heavy rain again later so it's in the drier. Might have to be indoor stuff after all, which I'm struggling to be enthusiastic about. Pat...your visitor...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@flumpy1 Regina is a friend/neighbour/colleague of Pat and her husband ... she works with him firefighting ... she sometimes visits in the evenings to discuss firefighting business and has been known to interrupt Pat's evening tv viewing/ukelele practice and sometimes outstays her welcome a bit ... but Pat and her husband are kind and tolerant people ... Regina probably likes the company. Hope @Pat E doesn't mind me explaining for her, but she's probably tucked up in bed by now. Sweet dreams Pat
I've made the scones to go with the sausage rolls for MIL's tea party tomorrow
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Yes Joyce and fairy, exactly! She’s gone now. I’m showered and in bed, hurray!
Flumpy, Regina is a person who spends the evening with us fairly often. My biggest complaint is that she talks over the TV (and stands in front of the fire), so I can’t hear what’s going on. I’ve worked out that if Hubby hits the subtitle button I can read instead of listen. 🤬
There has been horrendous winds all day today, as predicted. And Hubby got called out to a fire. He had only got home and eaten his dinner and was dozing in front of the news when madam called. Anyway, because she is also a volunteer with the bush fire brigade, he’s roped her in to help with another fire that is out of control, tomorrow. They’ll both be gone all day. What a lovely weekend. Night night all.
Well, I've just had a nice surprise. I was strolling round the wood and I've discovered a little area with about 8 apple trees. I'd never noticed them before, maybe because they didn't have fruit on them?

must go, Regina is here. 🤭
I only tend to eat red meat in the winter. In casseroles with veg and pulses. From spring to autumn it's mostly salads, chicken and fish.
You might be lucky with the washing Fairy. It's dry here with a bit of a breeze.
