What apples trees do you have Fairygirl? I'd love to grow Bramleys and Granny Smith, once I get a big enough garden. Oh, and a damson - damson jam on hot, butter crumpets, is the best...
They were meant to be Bramleys, but weren't! They look like they might be Spartan - someone here suggested that after they fruited. They're quite tart, so very nice to eat
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Love damsons but can't grow them here. Too hot. On the other hand, there are sloes in the hedgerows so not all is lost. Will have to wait for a trip to the UK to find a Bramley.
31C this pm. Nice for sun bathing.
Dinner was good and while it roasted, I made 2 of Dove's recommended courgette cakes in the other oven. Smells wonderful.
Just starting the first episode of Bodyguard now.

Thinking about apples. The last time we had a good harvest of apples was April 2011. We’ve been getting late frosts ever since. Type your commentmmmmmmm
