  • You'd better ask him ... at the very least some apple butter to freeze and serve with pancakes chops

    Hi all.
Well, there are holidays, and then there are holidays.
    Rained non stop.
Car broke down, so we were without transport for 2 days, and then could not be properly fixed, so we had to drive home at under 50, took us 10 hours [ normally be about 6 ]
On the plus side, had some lovely fish, really enjoyed the cottage being on the banks of the canal, so we could watch boats coming through.
We also met some lovely people.
Hope all are well, I am off for a sleep, see you soon.

The post holiday snooze is the best @punkdoc. I hope the nice bits outweighed the hassle-y bits.

Just in from doing my Dad’s dressing - it’s looking better and healing nicely - hurray. Who needs the practice nurse anyway!

Wasn't sure what to do for supper, so just done fridge raid and will do a Ploughman’s type offering, with a nice ale of course.

Have a good rest of the weekend folks.

Oh doc. The weather has been pants, and it's usually pretty splendid at this time of year. I wondered how much you'd be able to do outdoors. Hope you can get the car issue resolved. Bl**dy things  :/
Glad your dad is recovering well AuntyR - or Staff Nurse R, as I shall call you from now on  :)
Managed a bit of DIYing as the rain largely stayed off, apart from a few bits of mizzly murk. A new raised box made and painted, to fit in the corner beside the shed to create a bit of height. I was going to have a shrub and give it a bit of a head start with the extra height, but I may get a summer flowering clematis instead. It's quite shady - only getting  sun later in the day through summer. Fine once anything gets to about four or five  feet.
I now need a shower before I go and collect daughter from work.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Welcome home Pdoc.   Hope the good outweighed the bad.
