King Arthur's Britain: The Truth Unearthed - something like that.  So far we have learned that despite the stories written centuries later there is no evidence of a blood bath as the Angles and Saxons arrived along the east coast, just farming, settlement and eventual inter marrying.  Genetically, still more Britons in the west but lots of mingling in the east and along the old Roman roads and settlements, as you'd expect.

Tiler has finished laying the base for tiles.  Now to keep the doors closed so cats, dogs and OH's don't inadvertently trample it.   I have finally calculated, drawn and cut out the templates for my moon.  72 pieces to cut..........

https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0bkvw8v  on tv starting 7 October ... presented by Alice Roberts ... she used to be on Time Team  :)   She's also presented therapeutic modules to help patients with bi-polar conditions online ... this is because she's a skilled presenter, not because she's a psychologist.

It's interesting that Tony Robinson's input into Time Team stems from his relationship with Prof Mick Aston ... they met when they were both working on a field trip as part of their work in adult education ... the whole thing was originally his idea  :)   It says here... "It was not the first time that a chance conversation with Mick had got someone thinking about television archaeology. A few years earlier Tony Robinson had joined a trip Mick was leading to Santorini as part of his adult education work for Bristol University. The pair bonded on the idyllic Greek island, where Mick’s aptitude for breathing life into the past convinced Tony that archaeology had untapped television potential.  But when he returned to Britain, Tony found the studios equally intransient...."

TR may not be qualified but he obviously has a long-standing interest in the subject and he has years of experience in working in television ... seems appropriate for a presenter to me.

You may remember, some time ago I was contacted by, and subsequently met, my half brother [ fathers side ].
I filled him in on a few details about dad, and we have had a couple of conversations since.
I do not feel any particular attachment to him, but have tried to be helpful, as he does not know anything about my dad [ now deceased ]
He has now contacted me, asking for my mums details, as he thinks she may be able to help with his questions.
I have said absolutely no way, she is nothing to do with him, I don't even know whether she knows of his existence.
Do people think I am being reasonable?
How can you lie there and think of England
When you don't even know who's in the team

That may well be so Dove but he still comes across as a complete toe-rag to me.

House is smelly!  Chap had one or two cigarettes whilst working and I can smell it all over the house now, despite that room being closed off.  Windows open wide all over.   Good job it's sunbathing weather again.

I tend to agree but if your dad left another woman and son for your mum and to have you she may not be too unhappy to help.  If it's the other way round then definitely fraught with difficulty and a need for protection as it will re-awaken old pain and resentment.  Depending on which is the case, you could ask her first?
