Aunty Rich , gin cocktail last night while listening to Friday Night is Music Night on Radio 2
    Glass of red tonight
Overall a good show , thought some of the sets & costumes  good
    Some really good performances
  • The one to Matrix was a Paso.  And it was amazing!  Katya was so clever with the choreography.   Loved the Minions jive.  I think that was Stacey's Strictly moment.  And it was so nice to see Katie finally enjoy dancing.

Oh yes - Matrix one was a Paso (no more gin for me).

I don't like Giovanni much but his Viennese waltz last week was brilliant and that Matrix paso was too.  Good to see the professionals being inventive and creative.   Thought the Aladdin routine was underwhelming so the pocket rockets need to raise their game on choreography and performance.

I had no idea who Joe Sugg was, nor Vick and have switched off when Stacy Dooley was on the box but they have all done very well and are trying hard as have all the other better known - to me - competitors.  Kate Silverton is amazing and so are Faye and The Cat and didn't the cricketer do well?  Very pleased too with Katie P and Lauren.

Really enjoying this series so far.  I liked this week's loser too but feel the right one has gone after a lack lustre dance despite the musicality.   Fancy the GBP getting it right 2 weeks in a row!

I found this summary of the competitors from the Guardian.  How wrong can you get?

I am surprised we have not had more comments or is it that it is going so well ?

I have only just caught up with the results show this morning - life gets in the way ! I think the right one went this week, although l did feel sorry for Lee when they were down to the last two. You could see him thinking "Just get on with it, we know it's us".
Of the dances l enjoyed the Matrix paso, Kate Silverton as Jessica Rabbit, and Pasha and Ashley's Dirty Dancing (not ashamed to say l love that film :) ).
The problem l have with Movie Week, is that the last time l went to the pictures (not the movies !), was to see The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, and l am not really interested in films as such. Obviously l have a vague idea about Minions, Who framed Roger Rabbit, The Matrix, etc. but l don't know the music, and to be honest a lot of it on Saturday night was just a cacophony to me (and don't get me started on the flashing lights !). Still, onwards and upwards we go !

OH yes, forgot about Faye Tozer doing the Grease one, my husband seemed to enjoy that !
    Can't think why.  ;)

Just heard a throw away line on Beeb lunchtime news that Seann may not appear on Saturday's show and if he does it's likely the GBP will punish him.

    Really!!

Mind you, have to wonder what it is about the intimacy between a professional and a celebrity learning to dance that lands so many in "romantic" hot water each year.   Much better just to stick to the dancing.

If they're 'strayers' then they'll stray ... the excitement of new experiences, 'bonding' with a dance partner ... all that stuff, is just an excuse.

The lass is best off without him if he's not to be trusted ... glad she's had the sense to take control ... she might want to give him the chance to come back with his tail between his legs ... but if she does take him back I hope she'll make him earn it ...

But that's their business  ... Strictly is a tv show ... not a morality contest ...  if every tv personality who ever strayed lost their jobs we'd have an empty programme schedule rolleyes
