True Obelixx, I expected Dolly Parton to start singing coat of many colours. The wardrobe department do a cracking job then sew all the odd bits together for the last in the queue. Reminds me of Mother trying to make a wedding dress out of two old ones and parachute silk for what we called a weekend wedding. The lads came on embarkation leave a quick wedding so the girls got marriage allowance and Mother sewing into the night by the gas light. She was a top class dressmaker and I often had to stand as her model with my hands over the ears as I learned new words from her. The Bride always ended up looking lovely, Mother had sore fingers and i was in fear in case any of my mates had looked through the window while i was the model. I could not have chosen which dancer had to go, two very different modes so how do you choose. Frank.
Re: the Doc's Halloween costume, it wasn't until Janette said on ITT that she was playing "Boo", that l realised he was supposed to be the character Sully from the film Monsters inc. I probably missed it with fast forwarding through all the pre dance videos (!), but he didn't look anything like the character's colour of fur, so l didn't make the connection. I did however agree with him, that he looked like a car wash. Lovely guy, but his time to leave.
Very high standard tonight altho I do feel Danny has stopped evolving and is just playing on his fitness which isn't enough. Thought Kate's quickstep was under marked.
Also think the costume department wants shooting for some of those Latin costumes. The car wash rollers are so very 70s and the colours hideous. What on earth did they do to Joe and why?

I enjoyed Ashley and Pasha's contemporary dance, although l know it's not everyone's cup of tea . Kate's quickstep was good. Joe and Diane's samba, well l don't know what Bruno was watching, but it couldn't have been the same as me, as he scored it a 9 and l thought a 6 would be generous. At least Graham and Oti's samba had some content in it - treadmills anyone ? Who on earth picks the music ! I liked Lauren and AJ's Viennese waltz, l like to see someone "get" the joy of dancing, and she did tonight.
OH couldn't get past Joe and Diane's costumes and make-up. I thought he was dancing by numbers - got all the steps and the rhythm but not the feel tho it was better than Danny's version. It is a very hard dance to do well tho.

I thought Kate was under marked too. I liked Ashley and Pasha. I know Lauren and AJ won't win but I hope they stay in for a bit longer, she is really warming up and AJ seems to get on well with her.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Joe has ben a pleasant surprise. Never heard of him before but he has really entered into the spirit of the thing as have most of the others which is why it's so good this year. No cringing on Saturday like there was - for me - with Russel Grant, Dave Myers and so but not Widders who was just brilliant tho perhaps in the wrong ways.
I have always thought AJ was as egocentric young oik but he has been really sympathetic with Lauren and has gone up in my estimation. Hope it lasts beyond this series and that they stay a bit longer too.
I like the addition of the new dances this year and there being a choice of style. I wish tho that the salsa was more salsa and less show. It should be all about the armography and rarely is.
The only one I thought was off last night was Danny. Too stiff for samba.

Frank.
This week always seems a big deal for them all as pre-Blackpool.
