The right one went, though I was glad that Charles got to stay long enough to improve and for Karen to get a 10 :). Good to see Lauren really start to dance, act and enjoy herself. And I agree with something Obxx said a while back - AJ has gone up in my estimation.

I was pretty sure that Charles and Karen would be in the bottom two, lovely and emotional dance though it was, but l don't think it was very rhumba like. I felt sorry for Ashley, l think she took the judges words to heart and danced with more enjoyment the second time. Sometimes it must be difficult when you have practiced and practiced and practiced all week to actually enjoy it.

Personally, I think Strictly is much better with these two women presenting it. They make a fine team.  Given that it's a public show I don't see why we can't comment about their outfits as long as we're not needlessly insulting.  I thought the deep red of Tess's dress tonight suited her beautifully but the cut of the shoulderless sleeve was a bit odd - and that's a structural comment from a home dressmaker.  I do get very fed up with ubiquitous black.

As for the dancers, the right couple has gone tonight.   It's going to be a hard choice next week too as they are all so good and in different ways.  Stacey has a popular dance next week which will help her in the voting.   Don't yet know what the others are doing but I do hope Joe and Lauren do well.   Those three have come a long way for non-dancers.

It will be interesting to see how they cope with 2 dances next week. I should imagine that they must be getting pretty tired by now. Joe looks as though a puff of wind would blow him over !

From what I've seen on Twitter, those three all have a great deal of public support, for exactly that reason - being non-dancers.

I don't think opinions on clothes are a problem, it's the DMish inferences that are so unpleasant.

Not sure if it's just me, but this series feels like the most equal and the least gimmicky in ages.

I must admit l was sceptical about Joe, l thought he was bound to keep going through due his support on social media, but l have enjoyed his attitude and approach to the whole thing. I also loved his nan at Blackpool !
