Judging by Kevin's comments when talking to Claudia last night, it's going to be bigger, better and more spectacular than anything ever seen in a Strictly final before. Loved her comment when he said the timing would be absolutely critical - "Are you cooking ?" "Is it Yorkshire puddings ?"
I really like that about Claudia. Really quick, and genuinely witty... Sorry to see Lauren go, but not surprised. If Joe wasn't in the dance off, it would have to be her, really.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Apart from Blackpool which I would have watched even if they had danced in clogs, this year has passed over my head, my interest had waned though I did love Lauren's rise like a Phoenix from the fire of nervousness to being a fairly competent dancer and very confident Lady. Give AJ his due. I think we all knew Pasha and Ashley would be in the dance off and I was disappointed when Lauren made a hash of her dance, she came back in the dance off but had no chance against the Judges choice, I am sure they were cocking a snook against the GBP. I did really enjoy Saturday from the start, the memories that Charleston brought back. As usual the Pro's gave the judges a few proper steps which Shirley picked up on then did their own thing, I have not been enamoured by the choreography this year. Faye should win although that is my choice the GBP will have other ideas we will see. Frank.
I think the problem Ashley faces is that she doesn't have a huge 'hinterland of support' in the UK ... the voters vote 'for' their favourites, not 'against' anyone.
In order to influence her chances negatively a voter would have to vote for every competitor except Ashley ... not sure that many do that

Unfortunately I believe there is an element of anti-voting going. There's been several cases on Twitter of orchestrating voting against Ashley and Faye. It's been a problem in the past with 'contestants' having dissimilar dance experience and it will continue to be an issue going forwards as this year has proved. It's not the dancers fault. I feel for Ashley in particular. How she can motivate herself in recent weeks and leading up to next weeks final I honestly don't know. She's looked quite distraught and I'm not comfortable with that. She knows she has pretty much zero chance of winning next week.
Bruno and Shirley on ITT tonight. What a wasted chance (again!). Instead of silly quizzes with cheap buzzers, we could have a more in depth chat, e.g. What was their favourite moment, etc. Anything but all that laughing where no one had a clue what was going on! I know there are younger viewers but l think even they wouldn't have been impressed by that !
I just watch the dancing on the Saturday and avoid all the other stuff like the plague. Talk about over egging a good thing! And some of the stuff in newspapers and magazines is, quite frankly? horrid!
Never look at the stuff online or in papers. I watch Strictly for the dancing and ITT for the bits that are about the dancing and which can - and should - be informative.
