Vicki Gill is, presumably by now, an experienced costume designer so ought to know what colours/layers/bead effects work on camera with lighting and it's surely easier to programme a light a bit brighter/warmer/cooler than to change a costume the day before the show.

Pro challenge is quite good fun, especially this year as it has separated the women from the boys but yes, the face pulling and tie wasting is ridiculous and irritating.   I do like that Zoe Ball has been on the show and did well and knows about the process they go thru but I don't want the equivalent of a "wake me up" breakfast show production value slapped all over early evening TV which can surely aim inform, educate and entertain (BBC mission) without heading for the lowest common denominator.

    It’s TV , watching programme at moment , if I don’t like something , I simply don’t watch it

  • No surprises in the final then.   I'll be voting Stacey and Kevin I expect.

  • What lovely speeches by Lauren and AJ!  I'm a bit teary now.

And I have to say I've been really impressed by AJ this year.  He's adapted the dances without any fuss or bother, without constantly going on about how hard it's been or making a big deal of her arm.  And also Lauren for the way she went for it and the progress she made.

All good performances this weekend. In the final next week, I wonder if the public will vote for the technically best dance, the ones they just simply enjoyed the most, or to give credit to dancers who have progressed the most...

Have just caught up, like Laura l was quite teary at the end! When they played the VT of all their dances, you could see her growing in confidence every week. When it was down to Faye and Giovanni and them, l genuinely didn't know which way it was going to go.

Not surprised at finalists , looking forward to next week , however , will have to recorded it as at a Wedding 🎩
  • Watch out for spoilers then as the result will be everywhere!

We are out next Saturday as well at my friend's house for a meal. She is usually a big SCD fan, but l don't know if she has been so keen this year. Tbh I'd rather watch it on Sunday morning so that l can really concentrate.  Could mean no radio, TV or papers - that'll be fun !

We will be out dancing next Saturday - gilets jaunes permitting!   Will have to be careful about watching the news on Sunday before we've watched the recording.

I'm rather sorry Lauren has gone as she had finally got it and was doing well and she definitely danced better than Joe on Saturday.   Oh well, onwards and upwards.  Let's hope he can pull something out of his hat for next week and that Kevin's plans for the show dance aren't too utterly OTT.
