I was surprised by how moved l was by Graham and Oti's waltz, l think it was just seeing a dance with no flashing lights, no obscure musical choice,no "Faffing abaht", him in tails and so obviously trying to do his best. Something that my nan would have enjoyed. I agreed with Craig about the cube in Faye and Giovanni's dance, if it was supposed to be holding them back, then they didn't seem to convey that. I felt for Kate, it sounds an extremely painful injury and l could see her thinking "This is going to hurt", even if she was dosed up with painkillers. I liked Stacey and Kevin's freestyle, although his hat was rather distracting. Even l could tell Danny was all over the place, the music didn't help. Finally, l think it's time Mr Toniolli moved on, his leaping about and grabbing hold of Shirley is extremely annoying !
Yes, and he's too generous with his marking. Prefer that American chap who replaced him cos he made constructive comments and gave encouragement whereas Bruno is a bit too "me me" these days.
We went to a local dance this pm. I reckon we were the youngest there which is something when you're in your latter 60s. Managed some tango and quickstep and Paso and cha-cha but no slow waltz and we can't do valse musette and and didn't recognise their line dances or a Gay Gordons style dance. Very entertaining but after 6 line dances in a row - workout for the oldies - we left.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Yes, l liked the American , the fact he had taken part in Dancing with the Stars gave him an insight that the other judges don't have, and he was less excitable. Sorry you didn't get as much dancing as you had hoped for.
I was convinced that Shirley would save the other couple , and so was the professional dancer, l think. A little gushing in the farewell speeches, but l admire the sentiment.
OH thought they both did better and couldn't choose but I just liked the look and feel of the Viennese more than the samba and he did sort out the excessive rise and fall.
Sometimes I think wardrobe has a lot to do with the appeal of a dance and the designers want shooting for some of the horrors they come up with - like the doc's Halloween cha-cha rags.
