My daughter bought me some heritage black tom seeds two years ago and those have germinated this year. Still have half a packet left. Before seeds never worked well for me, @Fairygirl so keep trying is a good idea. The extra plants will get potted on @Lyn and given a chance, I'll find room for them somewhere even the weedy ones.🙂

I have room for about 12 plants in total (this year it'll be four each of three varieties). I'll sow about 8 of each to be sure of getting enough, and give away the surplus plants.
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

I ordered brandy boy beefsteak and santonio cherry plum as recommended in GW magazine. They sent 10 seeds of each I will probably sow 6 as I want 3 plants of each so if anyone wants the remaining few pm I will post them out

Yes - don't be in a hurry to sow any seed Morag. If you're keeping them permanently in a greenhouse then sowing in a couple of weeks will be fine, but you don't want to sow too soon if they're eventually going outdoors, as they can easily get a bit too big and leggy, and are then not as sturdy for coping with everything the climate throws at them.
    Good luck with them  :)

This year I'm growing for Rosella, Ildi, Tomande and Cherry falls for my baskets. Planning to sow my seeds indoors next weekend.
