  • I just had a look on Ebay for some Sungold seeds, why are they so expensive?

Almost £2 for only 10 seeds?
Must stop buying more plants, repeat, must stop buying....

Well, that'd be enough for two years for me ... this year I've grown four Sungold, four Rosella and three Marmande and that's plenty.

If you're buying your Sungold seeds from an Ebay seller make sure that they're not 'self saved' seeds ... as an F1 hybrid Sungold doesn't come true from saved seeds, so you wouldn't get the real variety ... best to buy from a reputable seed producer in this case.

    Same as any other Womble,
That’s good. I thought given they’re shape they might be prone to BER. Some tomatoes are definitely more forgiving than others.
I might give them a try next year.

Be careful who you buy from on eBay, one of those sellers whose name ends in UK is more than likely from China. You won’t know what you’re getting, the other one, Liveseeds, I’ve never heard of before, and I buy all my seeds form eBay.

This would be the best seller, I buy nearly all my seeds from this company.

I have grown two varieties of tomatoes two Supersweet, From Lidl and Shirley from Lincoln Market both have done very well the best crops I have ever had, I wish now I had weighed them to compare which had yielded the most, the only thing we found with the Supersweet is the skins are on the tough side and they tend to go soft very quickly.I am lucky with having a greenhouse, also my peppers are doing well the red one seems to be a bit more productive than the yellow one.

You don’t get many of these to the pound.
