I’d charge ‘em Hosta ... time and a half and double fuel at the very least. I bet they remembered when they found their cupboards were bare and they had to eat out 🥟

Morning all, Hosta I know what you mean with the public, they can be really  nasty at times and don’t care or apologise if they are not in and even have the cheek to say “ho I was out, can you try again” awfull, hope everyone’s day gets better and the rain stops too 🤗

Hope it goes as well as last week LilyP 👀🤓

Nice here too - have yet to decide what the day will bring 😇. Tea might help me decide ☕️

More drizzle here. Just enough to make it too wet to happily work outside, but not enough to soak the ground. We still have cracks and the lake is still about 18" too low.
I hope to be able to cut the grass at some point this week as it's growing with gay abandon.

Flumpy - in a business like yours I'd set up a blacklist of people to whom you refuse to deliver or else charge them a fiver extra for their sins and tell them why, politely but firmly.   No reason why you should have to cope with such overheads.

I dare say Waitrose can work it out for themselves but there ought to be some clause about not being there to receive planned deliveries.

We have a friend who manned the company stand at big events like air shows and corporate hospitality at Wimbledon.  We always tried to invite them for a dinner or BBQ in Wimbledon fortnight as he'd come laden with unused cream and strawberries and champagne.  Out would come the processor and instant strawberry ice cream was made for us and for them and other guests to take home and freeze.  Much merriment.

Cool here today and we've had enough rain to wet the pussies' backs so both are indoors, have eaten a huge breakfast and are sleeping it off.   Mouse heart left on the bathroom floor for me to find.  Lovely.

Sun peeping thru but it won't get above 23C today.  Went down to 7.5C early Sunday morning but won't do that again for a while if the forecast is correct.  That's a big IF given their track record on rain predictions.

Enjoy the BH everyone and have a good start to the week in Scotland.

    Morning all.
The pond is back up to the overflow pipe and the 'lawn' is squelching again. Normal service has been resumed.
It's blustery, grey and 13° so I might go shoe shopping after the stove man has been and removed my stove. The only thing is I may have to call in with some friends and have coffee. Oh no! The things you have to do!
    Enjoy your Monday.

    Morning everyone.

It's still raining... so OH is doing some woodwork in the kitchen.   :s  I'd be complaining except I want him to finish the job - he's making a cupboard for the new consumer unit (aka fuse box) which is at the bottom of the stairs, so I have to move the step ladder every time I want to go anywhere.

@flumpy1 - lovely pics!  We saw a lot of the parade of vehicles that Sunday when we had to drive to York.  It doesn't look like that today... can't see the other side of the valley!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
